AND THE COUNTDOWN BEGINS!

So, only 5 sleeps to go, then the big guy in the red suit arrives, laden with goodies for all! I have to admit to being a little naughty, I was online last night and ordered Becky Higgins "Project Life" box!!!! I am now anticipating the arrival of the courier, not Santa. I can't wait to get my hands on it, the photos online look great, it looks so easy to use. So, even if you've been naughty, best wishes to you all, keep your camera close by, and fully charged! for those special moments.
Merry Christmas and best wishes for a scrap happy New Year :)

IT'S JUST AROUND THE CORNER!!!!

It's nearly upon us! Christmas! This year has just flown by, I can't believe how fast it has gone! Now there is a pile of presents awaiting wrapping and a tree to be decorated! How do you wrap your presents? Do you follow through with a particular colour scheme or decoration? Do you decorate your tree with ornaments from years past or do you look out for new trends? Whatever you do, remember the true spirit of Christmas- family & friends are what counts, savour every moment, and try not to get too caught up in the hustle & bustle!
Happy decorating and wrapping :)

time is NOT on my side!!

Wow! Where has the time gone! First week of the holidays has disappeared in a flash, we have had 4 kids classes this week, the resin covered place mats look fantastic! Resin gives such a great finish, very glossy and hard wearing. The wooden letter canvas looks good too and it was neat to see kids making them as birthday gifts for their friends. Well after 17 days in Africa i have hundreds of photos to start scrapping, hmm....where to start.....i still have plenty of other photos to keep working on.... as i once heard, i am so far behind, i can never die! I was pleased to complete 2 African themed thank you cards and have got them in the mail, so that is a job to cross off my list, now...photos.....shall i start with the zebras or ellies??
Enjoy your school holidays :)

Using old stock......easier said than done!!

I am trying sooo hard to be good and use up as much of my stash as possible!! Hmm....easier said than done! Especially when I pop into Pastimes and see the delicious new stock arriving daily. Gorgeous Xmas papers and embellishments have arrived already, they look great! I am also trying to slow down my page process, I am trying to incorporate some other techniques that I haven't used in awhile. I find that I get into a routine of using the same techniques over and over again, and it sometimes gets too comfortable, easy and predictable! Do you do this too? Therefore I am going back through some completed pages and re using those techniques that I haven't used in a long time. It is so easy to get stuck in a rut!!
Happy scrapping!

Ahhhh Sundays....

What a great day, had 2 extra kids over for the weekend, my 2 were therefore occupied, therefore i got stuck into some pages!!! Especially today....weather was grotty, got quite a few pages done. Not fancy and detailed but done, and sometimes that's what counts....done and dusted. Have a great week everyone, how many pages can you get "done" this week??

Inspiration !

What a great few days! Returned from a quick trip across the Tasman and am re- inspired! It was wonderful to stroll the streets of Melbourne and take it all in. Fantastic architecture, latice work on the buildings and muted colours. Repeated patterns of metal schrolls and plenty of photographic opportunities. A delicious hotel in the centre of town, awesome rugby match, and a break from the daily routine, what more could a girl ask for! Have returned and got back into scrapping, am going through a phase of using of my stashed supply rather than sprinting out and loading up on new stuff. Roll on Monday night, catch up time at Pastimes, scrapping with the girls! *sigh* Happy scrapping everyone......:)

yes!

Wahoo! Got my scrapbooking mojo back!! Printed off some more photos to inspire me, read the latest issue of "Up2Scrap" and checked out the new products at Pastimes! The weather has taken a turn for the worst, which for means that i can't get outside so i can do my inside jobs and then scrap away!! Completed a couple of pages last night when hubby was at a meeting & kids were snuggled up asleep, got some great ideas from Up2Scrap.....really liked the layout on page 24, i like being able to recycle things and use them in pages and i loved the idea of clothing tags and pockets, it makes your layouts original! What ideas do you use? Ok....my goal for the next couple of days......scrap at least a page a day to keep insanity at bay :) see you soon, happy scrapping!

Whew! Where is this year going??!! We started in May and it's now July and we have nothing up! Sorry guys, life got in the way! Quick review....awesome kids craft classes in the holidays, everyone had a blast! Fantastic t shirts that were screen printed and some stunning scrapbook pages were completed. It's so great to see the kids ideas coming through. A huge thank you to Creative Funding NZ who supported our kids classes! We really appreciate their support. Got back from Nepal in May, re-enthused for scrapbooking, i had some amazing shots that i wanted to share and got staright back into it, however the past few weeks have been flat out, i need to get re inspired again and get cracking, printed some photos off yesterday while working in the office.....hopefully that will help! Share with us, how do you get inspired, what do you do when you go through a flat phase? E mail your ideas to us!
